My teacher didn't like this poster. So I redid this final in cut-paper.. which I don't have up yet. I still like this.. it was hard work. A lot of time. Just not what he thought I was capable of. Which made me disappointed in myself. But um.. yeah. A shower poster for a band Dead Vail. They're amazing. I love them like soo much. But they only play shows down south really. So here to go. Process: Scanned in sketches. Drew over them in PS. Filled in w/color. Added a crinkled paper texture as a multiply layer underneath. Drew, colored, scanned and cut flowers into composition. Same w/text (handmade). The cut paper one is really like 10X better so look at this, and think theres something even better lol.
My first thought when I saw this was actually a children's book cover... I'm not sure why. Maybe because of the bright colors and the way you designed the text. Anyway, I think it looks cool! I like the texture. And I can see why it took so long to do @_@
Haha yeah. Oh really? Thats kinda funny. I have some childrens book stuff I want to put up soon but I have to scan it. Unforunately the room w/the large scanner is only open sometimes. It's so inconvienent.. but thanks!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
